Today we have an absolutely stunning example of a fairly rare vehicle, that represented comfort, style, prestige, power, at an affordable price, back in 1958, and still today.
This Fairlane V8 has a 352cu, interceptor engine, with a 3 speed auto box.

She presents extremely well, she was fully restored and done to a high quality standard. She has had recently a new correct exhaust fitted, new fuel pump as well as a water bottle to improve its cooling system.

1959 Messerschmitt KR200
1959 Messerschmitt KR200 Bubble top
Where creativity wasn't boxed in and made linear,
Messerschmitt, temporarily not allowed to manufacture aircraft, had turned its resources to making other products. In 1952, Fend approached Messerschmitt with the idea of manufacturing small motor vehicles. The result was this beautifully designed micro car with lines so unique, it made this little car a charmer wherever it went.
The KR200 is an upgrade to the previous model, the KR175.
It had a steering bar reminiscent of that of an aircraft. The mechanism was connected directly to the track rods of the front wheels, providing an extremely direct response best suited to small amounts of movement. Capable of doing 90km/h, thanks to its 191cc Sachs 2 stroke motor mounted on a singular wheel. This was a fair bit of fun in 1959.

1934 Chevrolet sedan
The 1934 Chevrolet DA and DC models were the more expensive models in the Chevrolet range at the time, with the Mercury and Standard providing a cheaper and smaller range between 1933 and 1937. However they still managed to sell just over half a million of these vehicles. An incredible feat considering the Great Depression barely behind them. Its shows you how much love people had for Chevrolet in those days and still today.
An umolested example of a iconic car. These passenger vehicles were produced in high volume and have been chopped, modded and rodded since the beginning of time.
This is a true classic, kept as original as possible, with her elegant side mounted spare wheels, simple and cosy cabin and her 6 cylinder engine.

1937 Packard 120
When observing the quality of fit and finish found on this astounding 1937 Packard 120 Sedan, it is easy to see why Packard ultimately put themselves out of business by building a car of such quality that buyers were discouraged from upgrading to newer models.
This example is in original trim and has never been restored. A rare sight for a car that is 81 years old. A true survivor, and although some may decide to restore this car, I personally would not. Survivor car prices have soared in the last two years even surpassing restored vehicle prices.
A car is original only once, a good clean up and touch ups is all I would do.
She has an 130 bhp, eight-cylinder engine, three-speed manual floor shift transmission, independent front suspension with semi floating rear and semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.
Her engine runs smooth and quiet.

This Coupe is an absolute Gem...

From the moment we gazed eyes upon her to our dreams in the evening, this car was in our hearts.
An older restoration, so she is not faultless.. but a stunning car.
​
She comes with her original owners manual. You can tell straight away this was a very good unmolested car prior to restoration.
​
Little bit of rust, little bit of body filler, few blemishes in the paint, all to be expected. This car could do with a freshening up to take her where she could be.
​
We never had the chance to take her for a spin, but I have no doubt that she will run great. I doubt this car has done much mileage since the restoration. The manual gearbox felt good, little play on the steering, brakes felt good from where she was parked.
​

1989 Mercedes Benz 560SEL
1989 Mercedes Benz 560SEL bullet proof.

Today we have on offer a 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SEL that belonged to the late Anton Rupert's wife.
Two vehicles were purchased new by the family and converted to Bullet proof during the early 90's, when Mandela and the ANC were coming into power. The one vehicle is on display at the Franschoek Museum, this is the other matching pair. Both cars were identical.
This vehicle only sports 86 000km from new, and is in superb condition. She has her full books and full service records.
Her windows don't go up or down due to the bullet proofing, however you could convert it back to original should you wish to have the function of the windows.
Her Aircon has recently being overhauled and works great.
She drives like a dream, smooth, powerful and effortless, the way a Mercedes of this caliber should drive.
